FACPOV: Return of the Jedi is a USA Today Best Seller

The highly-anticipated From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi book is officially a USA Today Best Seller.

Many Star Wars books have landed on best-seller lists in the past. It’s much less common for anthologies involving multiple authors to sell like this book has — and, like previous FACPOV installments, a total of 40 separate authors contributed to this collection. It’s a feat worth celebrating.

The From a Certain Point of View series began with a quest to celebrate the 40th anniversary of A New Hope through the medium of publishing. Marking the 40th anniversary of Star Wars’ beginning with 40 stories by 40 authors may have seemed impossible at first, but Del Rey has now proven three times over that it is, in fact, possible.

Each book in the series chronicles the events of the first three respective Star Wars movies through different characters’ points of view (hence the titles). While the movies are told from Luke, Leia, and Han’s perspectives, the books offer readers the chance to look at the events of these films in a new way — and writers, too.

The first From a Certain Point of View book was released in 2017 (40 years after 1977). That anth9ology was successful enough that a second book, From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back landed on shelves in 2020. Now, in 2023, the third installment has proven a massive success.

This book featured both new and returning Star Wars writers, creating an overarching story filled with unique, diverse, and exceptional voices. If you have not picked up your copy of the anthology, it’s not too late! You do not need to have read the previous books to enjoy this one, but they are all worth your time.
