The best thing about Star Wars comics is that there’s something new to devour almost every week of the year. If it isn’t a new issue of the mainline Star Wars comic or another chaotic adventure featuring Doctor Aphra, chances are Darth Vader is doing something evil, bounty hunters are fighting each other, or someone’s miniseries is in full swing.

This week, only some of these things are true, but that doesn’t make the potential pull list any less exciting. A new issue of the ongoing Bounty Hunters series is about to blow your mind — and a new miniseries featuring droids as you’ve never seen them before is bound to leave you wanting more.

Here are the Star Wars comics available for pickup this week.

Bounty Hunters #38

This week will not be the first time the Bounty Hunters comic series tied in with other series as part of a larger Marvel Star Wars event.

Written by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Davide Tinto and Arif Prianto, and published by Marvel Comics, this issue is a Dark Droids tie-in that will feature not only familiar bounty hunters and other characters from the series, but also General Grievous, the best cyborg in the galaxy.

Dark Droids: D-Squad #1

The first issue of the Star Wars: Dark Droids: D-Squad miniseries is out today, featuring an additional story written by Marc Guggenheim and illustrated by David Messina and Bryan Valenza called “The Book of Ajax.”

Written by Marc Guggenheim, illustrated by Salva Espín and Israel Silva, and published by Marvel Comics, this is the first of four issues as a spinoff of the larger Dark Droids comic event.

Both of these comic issues are available today wherever you get your Star Wars comics.
