We’re almost at Ahsoka‘s finish line, and the final two episodes are bound to be eventful. There are sure to be many jaw-dropping and memorable moments and of course, it has to lead into a potential second season and tie into upcoming series set in the same timeline, including The Mandalorian Season 4 and Skeleton Crew.

Based on what’s happened in the series so far, what can we expect in next week’s episode of Ahsoka?

1. Hera Syndulla will be removed as General

The New Republic and Hera aren’t on the same page when it comes to the threat posed by Grand Admiral Thrawn. The Republic isn’t ready to spare its resources and help Hera because according to them, she’s using them to find Ezra Bridger. As a result, Morgan Eslbeth slips away to Peridea, and Carson Teva and his fellow Adelphi Rangers have to go against orders and help Hera out in rescuing Ahsoka on Seatos. But by not following orders and doing what she wants, Hera’s position as a General is definitely in danger. There’s not much that Chancellor Mon Mothma can do to help her, and perhaps next week, we’ll see Hera on Coruscant, facing the consequences of her actions.

2. Thrawn will make it out of Peridea

He’s not going to let this opportunity pass him by. This is his best chance of escaping the graveyard of a planet and Thrawn’s going to do just that. Once he does, it will be the beginning of a new chapter in Star Wars. Thrawn’s return has been mentioned but it’s about time we see what his return means for the galaxy. Is he going to declare war, or just walk into the Senate and shock everyone? Hopefully, we’ll find out before the season ends.

3. Ezra will learn the truth

Ezra doesn’t know how Sabine was able to find him, and he might learn how next week, either from Baylan or Shin, both of whom are on their way to kill them. It’s a significant moment and the fact that it’s being saved, for now, means that it’s going to come as a big shock to Ezra, and it’s hard to imagine how he’ll react to learning that to see him again, Sabine gambled away the fate of their galaxy.

4. Ahsoka will reach Peridea

Getting there might prove to be easier than the return journey. What awaits Ahsoka is a big mystery as Thrawn wants to know everything about her background, including her Master and her home planet. How the expert tactician uses this information against Ahsoka is intriguing, and a little scary to imagine. Peridea is a hellhole as it is, but then to have someone like Thrawn and a trio of witches waiting for you there makes everything a million times worse.

5. Anakin will return

Yes, we haven’t seen the last of Skyguy, this is happy news for Hayden Christensen’s fans who are still buzzing from Episode 5. Anakin has a few lines from the Ahsoka promos and trailers that we didn’t hear in Episode 5, including “Don’t be afraid” and “I know you can do this, Ahsoka”, so maybe that’s coming next week as motivation when Ahsoka finds herself in really big trouble. Some encouragement from a familiar face might be everything Ahsoka needs to survive whatever awaits her.

Ahsoka is streaming on Disney+.
