Star Wars: Ahsoka is nearing its end — that is, assuming this series, much like The Book of Boba Fett, will only last a single season. The penultimate episode is upon us, now just hours away. And judging by the vast number of theories currently circulating … no one really knows what’s coming. Perhaps that’s for the best.

Last week, the reunion of Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger opened up all kinds of doors for the future of the show and Star Wars as a whole. The reappearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn — technically his first appearance in live-action Star Wars TV — also brings to question his larger role in the so-called Filoniverse (or is it just the Mandoverse?) and whether or not he will be an actual threat, considering we’ve not heard about his activities in the galaxy at this time before now.

Ahsoka is likely set to arrive in the vicinity this week, though the result of her encounter with Thrawn is obviously up in the air. We still don’t really know why she specifically is so set on confronting him, despite the fact that he was last seen with Ezra, who has now been found. Will either or both make it off the planet? There’s one way to find out.
