Star Wars books and comics coming in October 2023

October is a busy month for both Star Wars books and comics, with new comics issues from almost every ongoing series set to release plus a whole handful of new books (and some re-releases, technically).

Let’s take a closer look at the books and comics coming to Star Wars readers this October.

October 10

• Crimson Climb by E.K. Johnston follows the character of Qi’ra and takes place in the time between being separated from Han in Solo: A Star Wars Story and first meeting Maul and becoming associated with Crimson Dawn.
• The High Republic: Jedi Brave In Every Way, written by Rosemary and Charles Soule and illustrated by Valerie Valdivia, is a High Republic children’s book about overcoming fear and being brave like a Jedi.
• Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak joins the growing series of Star Wars-inspired cookbooks published by Insight Editions. The cookbook includes themed recipes fans of a galaxy far, far away can make and enjoy anytime.

October 17

Meet the Galactic Heroes is a young reader collection including Level 1 books in the World of Reading series. It will be published by Disney-Lucasfilm Press on October 17.

October 24

The Essential Legends Collection is also releasing four new entries into its ongoing series of Legends re-releases this month:

• The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton
• I, Jedi by Michael A. Stackpole
• The Old Republic: Annihilation by Drew Karpyshyn
• Republic Commando: True Colors by Karen Traviss

These books are reprints with new covers; the content of the books themselves remains the same.
