Music has been a major part of the Star Wars universe ever since the first John Willaims score hit the screen, and we all saw the opening crawl. Music and Star Wars are intrinsically tied together as video and audio experiences. That experience has carried from the original trilogy and hearing the Imperial March, moving into the prequel-era movies, the sequel-era, and now the era of the Star Wars television shows. Iconic themes and in-show original scores are now an expected part of the experience.

Kevin Kiner and his son and daughter, Sean and Deana, are working overtime to uphold the legacy in music started by John Willaims in Star Wars, but also carving out their own amazing branch at the same time. These composers’ musical works for Lucasfilm in Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, The Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, and now in the Ahsoka series have been top-notch, emotionally gripping, and brilliant for every scene they are included in.

With a recent announcement on their official Twitter account, they made sure that we knew of their latest release to Spotify and Apple Music.

Volume 2 of the Ahsoka season 1 soundtrack is now available for your listening pleasure. This playlist includes music from episodes 5 through 8 and has a run time of approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, covering 57 orchestrated originals from the Lucasfilm show.

Between Volume 1 and Volume 2 for Ahsoka, covering all 8 episodes, there is just over 5 hours of music that was made and designed for specific moments and emotions in this show. These 103 original compositions will likely stir memories from Season 1 and are a great listen for you when you’re driving, working around the house, or just looking for some fantastic background music to fill the void of silence around you.

If you search out Kiner Music or Kevin Kiner on Spotify or Apple Music, you will find a wealth of music they have worked on, musical scores for other shows outside of the Star Wars universe. Apple Music and Spotify both show over 30 albums of Kiner Music, including works from Doom Patrol, PeaceMaker, Samaritan, and much more. You will surely find something you would like to listen to from this amazing family of musicians.

Many fans loved what they heard from Ahsoka in season 1, and as much as we all look forward to Season 2 of the show, we all understand that a big part of the experience is the music. Hopefully, Kevin, Sean, and Deana Kiner will be the architects of the musical scores for the Star Wars universe for many years to come. Based on their previous offerings and the number of Star Wars shows they have been involved with, it would be a shame to see anyone else in this space.
