A lot happened during the first season of Ahsoka, but fans have many questions that need answering. A second season seems inevitable, however, whether it will delve into some of the biggest questions we have regarding the main characters and their motivations is anyone’s guess.

The 8 episodes don’t allow for in-depth exploration, leaving many things to unfold off-screen. Until a second season is announced, what are some of the biggest questions we have about the main characters of Ahsoka?

1. Sabine Wren

She lost her family during the purge on Mandalore, however, how will becoming a Jedi help her avenge this tragedy? Does Sabine believe that she lacks something as a Mandalorian warrior? Mandalorians are warriors who can stand their own against many powerful foes, including Jedi. Sabine’s motivation for training as a Jedi and its explanation could be better. I’m not sure how being a Jedi helps her, and season 2 needs to shed some more light on this.

2. Ezra Bridger

Will Ezra try to return to Peridea to bring Sabine and Ahsoka home? Ezra and Thrawn essentially switched places with Ahsoka and Sabine at the end of Episode 8 of Ahsoka. Ezra is back in his home galaxy and reunited with Hera who will be very disturbed when she finds out that Ahsoka and Sabine didn’t make it back. But as Thrawn has returned as well, the galaxy will now face a huge threat. In all this chaos, will he try to find a way to bring his friends back home too, or leave it up to fate? Another question I have is whether Ezra will train Jacen Syndulla. Jacen is eager to become a Jedi and his dad’s former apprentice is finally home, will Ezra agree to train him?

3. Thrawn

What does he have planned? Will he try to topple over the New Republic swiftly or take his time? Knowing Thrawn, he’s been planning his next move for years and will wait patiently for things to unfold, instead of forcing them. However, the idea of Thrawn’s return has been there for a while now, but what he’ll do now that he’s back is a big unknown. He has The Great Mothers and their magick on his side now, but he needs to do something that makes him seem like a serious threat, and for that, he’ll have to rely more on strategy than dark magick.

4. Shin Hati

Shin’s future looks bleak. She has the saddest ending of any character in the series. What does the future hold for her and will she change her mind and take up Ahsoka’s offer for help?

5. Ahsoka

Why did Ahsoka say that she and Sabine are where they belong? Something about the ending of Ahsoka made it seem like Ahsoka knew she wouldn’t be going back home anytime soon. After all, Ahsoka tells Sabine that Ezra is where he belongs and so are they. Does she have force insight into what’s to come? Perhaps, by staying on Peridea, she can control the fate of her home galaxy better than she can from anywhere else.

Ahsoka is streaming on Disney+.
