Will there be an Ahsoka season 2?

Earlier this month, the Ahsoka series aired its Season 1 finale on an emotional cliffhanger. With the show’s characters separated once more — despite a reunion years in the making — and the series’ Big Bad back in the known galaxy ready for a fight, many viewers and Star Wars fans may be wondering if there will be an Ahsoka Season 2.

Because this is Disney+, and the universe becomes more complex with every new show that arrives on the platform (not usually a bad thing), the answer to whether or not there will be more of this specific show is … complicated.

Ahsoka is part of what many have come to call the “Mandoverse” (possible alternative: the Favloniverse). Its story,, while not necessarily crossing over with other shows in its orbit, takes place around and is directly influenced by the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Disney+ shows (and the movies they tie into), the Mandoverse is meant to tell one ongoing, connective story. Allegedly, this is all supposed to end with an epic cinematic experience (though whether or not we’ll ever actually get a Star Wars movie again at this point is questionable at best).

So there may not actually be a second season of Ahsoka, even if the stories the show sets up are still on the horizon. Skeleton Crew, for example, may continue some aspects of the story even if its main characters aren’t a major part of it.

Hera, Ezra, and likely even Sabine and Ahsoka will show up again. It’s uncertain whether or not this will happen in another season of this series or in a different series entirely. Nothing has been confirmed, but you can bet this is not the last we’ll ever see of the show’s main players.

All episodes of Star Wars: Ahsoka are available to stream exclusively on Disney+.
