The third and final phase of The High Republic is almost here. That’s right — it hasn’t officially started yet, but we’re closer now than ever. And it will be worth the wait.

Technically, the third phase of The High Republic initiative doesn’t start until November (only a few weeks away now, rejoice!). Two new stories launch that month — The High Republic [Phase 3] from Marvel (the first issue drops on November 8) and The Eye of Darkness adult novel by George Mann on November 14.

The Marvel comic miniseries that released its first issue earlier this month, Shadows of Starlight, technically takes place in the year between Phase 1 and Phase 3. It didn’t actually kick off Phase 3, the same way Tales of Light and Life told stories between phases, but didn’t tell any stories that take place during Phase 3.

So if you’re excited and waiting for Phase 3 of The High Republic to finally be here, don’t worry. We’re less than a month away now from the beginning of something truly special.

It was announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023 in April that The High Republic’s third and final phase would be a much more drawn-out trickle of releases compared to past phases of the initiative. While Phase 3 will begin in 2023, Charles Soule won’t close the book — literally — until his final novel in the initiative wraps everything up in 2025.

The High Republic, originally known only as Project Luminous, began in January 2021 with Light of the Jedi and instantly became a bestselling series. It captivated readers of all ages thanks to its storytelling across different mediums and reading levels, and has likely paved the way for future publishing initiatives like it to fuel the love of Star Wars for generations to come.
