October has been a stellar month for Star Wars comics, from single issue releases to trade paperback collections to omnibus releases. As it’s the final Wednesday of the month, it’s the end of October’s spooky delights and the beginning of more great issues to come.

To make sure you don’t miss what’s releasing today, here’s a breakdown of the new Star Wars comics you can purchase digitally or from your local comic book stores.

Dark Droids: D-Squad 2

There’s nothing more important to a droid than their best friend — that is, if R2-D2 can ever admit how much C-3PO really means to him. Written by Marc Guggenheim, illustrated by Salva Espín and Israel Silva, and published by Marvel Comics, the second issue of Dark Droids: D-Squad is a tie-in to Marvel’s larger Dark Droids ongoing series. This issue features R2-D2 and some of your favorite antagonist droids from Aphra’s adventures.

Doctor Aphra (2020) 37

Doctor Aphra is back! Written by Alyssa Wong, illustrated by Minkyu Jung, Jethro Morales, and Rachelle Rosenberg, and published by Marvel Comics, this issue of Doctor Aphra (2020) is a Dark Droids tie-in that you won’t want to miss. It will be the perfect comic to get you in the spooky mood for Halloween.

Each of these comic issues are available today wherever you get your Star Wars comics. You can usually find new Star Wars comics at your local shops or online if you want your new issues as soon as they become available each week.
