Tales of the Jedi is an anthology series written by Dave Filoni that premiered one year ago on Disney+. Season 1 was highly well-received and comprised of six episodes. After the great response to Season 1, a second season was announced at this year’s Star Wars Celebration. Season 2 is on track for a 2024 release.

Season 1 of Tales of the Jedi focuses on Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku and shows them at various points in their lives. Though they have vastly different fates, both are driven by their disillusionment with the Jedi Order. So far, there’s no information on the format of Season 2 and which Jedi it will follow, but we have a few ideas.

Here are 5 Jedi who deserve to be featured in future seasons of Tales of the Jedi:

Asajj Ventress

Asajj Ventress went through a lot in her life, and we know her mostly from The Clone Wars where she frequently crossed paths with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ventress turned to the dark side following the death of her Jedi Master, Ky Narec, and was trained by Count Dooku. She served as an assassin during The Clone Wars. Dooku eventually betrayed Ventress and slaughtered her people on Dathomir. Ventress became a bounty hunter, slowly turned back to the light side, and even helped Ahsoka Tano when she was accused of bombing the Jedi Temple. Ventress’s story has many twists and turns, and she deserves to be featured on Tales of the Jedi.

Baylan Skoll

Baylan Skoll is one of the best characters introduced in Ahsoka. He’s a Jedi from the prequel era who survived Order 66, the rise and fall of the Empire, and became a mercenary. He knew Anakin Skywalker, but a lot hasn’t been revealed about Baylan’s life. Unfortunately, the tragic passing of actor Ray Stevenson has put the continuation of Baylan’s storyline in doubt, but this doesn’t mean he can’t appear in Tales of the Jedi. We’d love to know how Baylan became the person he is in Ahsoka, as well as more about his motivations and his relationship with Anakin Skywalker.

Kelleran Beq

The Mandalorian Season 3 answered a question many have been curious about regarding Grogu. It revealed that Jedi Master Kelleran Beq rescued Grogu during Order 66. We’d love to see stories more about Kelleran’s time as a Jedi Master and a story focusing on what happened to him after he rescued Grogu and took him to an undisclosed location. The location might have been Naboo because Beq escaped the Jedi Temple with the help of the Royal Naboo Security Forces, leading many to believe Naboo was where he may have taken Grogu. Kelleran’s fate is unknown, and we’d love it if some episodes of Tales of the Jedi focus on him with Ahmed Best voicing him.

Grogu

Grogu was raised at the Jedi Temple and saved by Kelleran Beq during Order 66. After that, much about his life remained a mystery until Din Djarin found him on Arvala-7. What was Grogu’s life like before Order 66? Who were his friends and teachers at the Temple, and what did he go through before Din Djarin found him? We’d love to know more about the little green guy in Tales of the Jedi.

Anakin Skywalker

He’s “The Chosen One,” and plenty of content focuses on him, but how about more? We can see what Anakin Skywalker’s life was like as a young Padawan learner immediately following the loss of Qui-Gon Jinn and how he adjusted to life at the temple. It would be great to see how Obi-Wan taught Anakin when he was just a child who’d been taken away from his mother. A lot of these stories have been told in books and comics, but it would be great to see them on screen.
