When it comes to “shipping” in Star Wars — that’s “relationship” not the actual starship — just about anything goes (within reason, of course). No one expected The Mandalorian to pair Bo-Katan Kryze and Din Djarin together, but to some fans, that’s exactly what happened.

Whether you’re a fan of DinBo or you’re not, you have to admit their chemistry is off the charts in Season 3. He flies all the way to her castle to ask her to go to Mandalore with him (an interesting first date idea, but he tried). She immediately jumps into her ship when his son shows up and flies all the way there, risking her life to save him multiple times.

And let’s not ignore what has possibly become the most iconic line — whether it came off as romantically charged to you or not — in the show’s entire run thus far.

“Your song is not yet written. I will serve you until it is.”

I’m sorry, but you cannot say those words to someone and not also simultaneously confess your eternal love to them. I’m normal, I promise.

Tone cannot translate well in written form, so I hope you know I’m just having fun here. I don’t often “ship” fictional characters — some people are into that and I support it, it’s just not for me. But this moment in the show really stood out to me. Mostly because I think there are a lot of ways and reasons to love someone without having to make it romantic. I love my best friend, but I don’t know if I would date her. (We’re too similar! It wouldn’t work!)

Are these two destined for a happily ever after? That’s really up to them. I don’t know if Bo-Katan is the type to commit herself to one person and help raise a son that will outlive her, but who’s to say they still couldn’t make it work?

All episodes of The Mandalorian are available to stream exclusively on Disney+.
