Star Wars Insider #223 is set to release in the United States and Canada next Tuesday, December 12. Per usual, the issue will be filled with a variety of stories and interviews that will give Star Wars fans of all backgrounds something to enjoy. Whether you’re a fan of the live-action shows, Star Wars animation, or anything in a galaxy far, far away, there’s something waiting inside for you.
For the past several months, Star Wars Insider has been publishing an ongoing series of short fiction set in the High Republic that’s exclusive to the magazine and set during Phase III. This issue’s exclusive The High Republic fiction continues with “Friend or Foe?” by Lydia Kang, a must-read for fans of the hit Star Wars series of stories.
An interview with Tait Fletcher will also offer some behind-the-scenes info for fans of the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian. Fletcher was the performer inside Paz Vizsla’s armor, and touches on his experiences bringing the character to life in Season 3 of the show.
Former Industrial Light & Magic expert Fon Davis also offers Star Wars fans some insight into the art of model-making in another exclusive Star Wars Insider interview.
And for those interested in exploring more thematic elements of the Star Wars universe, the upcoming issue of the magazine also includes an essay exploring why Palpatine’s Death Star plans failed (twice!), as well as an overview of the most notable fashions across a galaxy far, far away. Also, if you like Dexter Jettster, he gets his own spotlight in the magazine this month too.
