Kelleran Beq comes to Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
By Meg Dowell
The Star Wars mobile turn-based multiplayer game Galaxy of Heroes has added Kelleran Beq to its growing character lineup.
Earlier this year, the Jedi — who first appeared in Jedi Temple Challenge — returned in The Mandalorian as Grogu’s Order 66 savoir. Now honorable heroes will be able to unlock and play with the character in the game, starting today.
Another addition to the many Jedi characters throughout the game, Kelleran Beq is a Light Side Galactic Republic character with Leader capabilities.
Kelleran Beq’s Marquee Event, like the many that have come before, will have a limited time frame in which each tier can be completed. Players will be able to unlock the character up to a certain point, but will have to obtain more character shards through other means before completing the final tier.
The character will have duel lightsabers (one blue and one green) and is the perfect addition to your Jedi teams, since he synergizes best with other Force-users in the game.
Adding Beq to your Jedi teams will be a great way to honor the character and the man in the robes, Ahmed Best. Returning to the Star Wars universe after negative reactions to his portrayal of Jar Jar Binks in the prequel trilogy was a stellar move, and now his original character will be part of the Star Wars video game world forever.
The game developers took inspiration from Beq’s previous appearances to craft the character’s mechanics, and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the virtual holotables when he arrives later today. And who will be next? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is free to download and play on iOS and Android.
