Pedro Pascal is the #1 actor on IMDb’s list of 100 most searched actors on IMDb. The list features other Star Wars actors, including Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), and Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka Tano). However, Pedro’s number 1 position on the list was almost guaranteed ever since The Mandalorian became a global phenomenon and brought Pascal to the attention of anyone who didn’t already know him from Game of Thrones, or his other amazing roles.

Pedro’s rise to the top of the Starmeter in 2023 comes as no surprise since he starts in two hit series including The Mandalorian Season 3 and The Last of Us. Pascal has been making a name for himself by being a part of several hit TV shows, including Game of Thrones and Narcos. In recent years, The Mandalorian has helped catapult Pascal to a completely different level of stardom and fans can’t seem to get enough of him. Now, he’s all set to be a part of the sequel to Ridley Scott’s Academy Award-winning film, Gladiator, which stars Paul Mescal, and is also being eyed for the role of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four.

Most of Pedro’s most recent roles have been ones where he plays a single parent, determined to protect his vulnerable child. It’s made Pedro the official “Daddy” of the internet, but Pascal deserves all the accolades for putting his heart and soul into playing a father, though he has no kids in real life. Along with being incredibly good-looking, Pedro is also an outstanding actor and voice-over performer. Now that he’s been nominated for 3 Emmy Awards, whatever project he’s a part of should make the most of his presence, especially The Mandalorian.

Pascal’s handsome face was notably absent from every episode of The Mandalorian Season 3, something fans were understandably upset by. Seasons 1 and 2 featured moments where Din Djarin removes his helmet, allowing Pascal to show his acting chops. However, after redeeming himself in the living waters underneath the Mines of Mandalore, Din doesn’t remove his helmet again. Many fans hoped that Din would be forced to remove it for one reason or another in the finale of Season 3, but that didn’t happen. It’s a missed opportunity especially in the final few minutes of Season 3, when Din is shown sitting on his porch and watching Grogu from the comfort of their new home. A helmetless Din Djarin might have been the right call for a domestic scene like this one, but unfortunately, that’s not what we got.

Going forward, it’s time for The Mandalorian to make the most of his talent. Filming on Season 4 of the series should accommodate Pascal’s busy schedule and make sure he films a few scenes where he removes his helmet. It helps the audience connect with the character, serves as eye candy for Pedro’s admirers, and enhances the quality of the show as a whole to have someone as brilliant as Pedro showcasing his skills in a couple of episodes.

The Mandalorian is streaming on Disney+.
