Word around the internet seems to point that Din Djarin and Grogu could be back on set soon enough.

According to sources close to BespinBulletin.com, The Mandalorian Season 4 is gearing up to begin filming early next year. The Mandalorian was rumored to begin filming towards the end of this year. However, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, production on Season 4 was delayed.

It now appears that Season 4 will go into production in February 2024, although this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. As Jon Favreau already confirmed having written the fourth season, it makes sense for it to be the first Star Wars show to go into production after the end of the strike. Lucasfilm hasn’t officially announced a Season 4 and will likely remain tightlipped regarding its filming. However, filming news is challenging to hide, and someone from the cast and crew always ends up dropping loud hints about the show’s production.

The Mandalorian Season 3 premiered in March of this year, two years after the end of Season 2. The next season of the show should hopefully make it to Disney+ much faster. Season 3 ended with the Mandalorians taking back their homeworld and Bo-Katan Kryze becoming their leader. After all the Mandalorians united and decided to live together in peace, The Armorer ordered Din Djarin to take Grogu on his journey off-world. We last saw Din and Grogu settling into a cabin on Nevarro.

Din Djarin and Grogu ended the season officially as father and son, and Grogu became a Mandalorian apprentice. This hopefully means that Season 4 will focus on his training as a Mandalorian. Another major storyline for Season 4 involves Din Djarin working as an independent contractor for the New Republic and helping Carson Teva hunt down Imperial Remnants. This can potentially lead Din and Grogu into much bigger things, including the galaxy’s upcoming conflict with Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is likely to be back on everyone’s radar by the time Season 4 rolls around.

Thrawn returned to the galaxy at the end of Ahsoka after spending years trapped on Peridea. Will Thrawn show up in The Mandalorian Season 4? Will there be more focus on Din Djarin’s backstory, and will Din and Grogu run into members of the Ghost Crew? These are all questions fans have regarding Season 4, which should hopefully go into production very soon.
