Primetime Emmy nominations for the 2024-2025 television season are out, and Star Wars did fairly well against its competition. Even though Andor received over a dozen Emmy nominations in total for its second season, it's impossible to ignore the snubs that have left plenty of noteworthy performances trapped in the shadows.

Andor received 14 Emmy nominations total on Tuesday, including Outstanding Drama Series. Here is a full list of the Andor Emmy nominations, which actors made it on the list, and which ones should have been included but were tragically left behind:

  • Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Writing for Drama Series "Welcome to the Rebellion"
  • Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Period Or Fantasy Program "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Cinematography For A Series "Harvest"
  • Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes "Harvest"
  • Outstanding Picture Editing For A Drama Series "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score) "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics for the song "We are the Ghor (Planetary Anthem)" from "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series "I Have Friends Everywhere" - Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera
  • Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance "Who Else Knows?" - Alan Tudyk as K-2SO
  • Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series "Who Are You?"
  • Outstanding Special Visual Effects In A Season Or A Movie

The season's climactic episode, "Who Are You?" received seven of the show's total nominations, receiving much-deserved recognition for everything from its music to its directing and production design. It would be a shame if it didn't land at least one of these as a win this awards season.

Forest Whitaker and Alan Tudyk rise above the rest

Forest Whitaker (Guest Actor In A Drama Series) and Alan Tudyk (Character Voice-Over Performance) are the only two Andor actors to receive nominations for the show's second season. Whitaker reprised his role as Saw Gerrera, and Tudyk reprised his role as K-2SO from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

While both actors gave stellar performances in their respective categories -- Saw's rant at the end of the fifth episode has become an internet meme in the most flattering way -- other actors were sadly robbed of their chance at recognition. To leave Genevieve O'Reilly out of the running is especially tragic, despite all the great competition she'd be up against in the Lead Actress category.

Genevieve O'Reilly and more Andor actors snubbed in 2025 Emmy nominations

While "Welcome to the Rebellion" did receive a nomination for its writing, the actor who delivered that unforgettable senate speech, Genevieve O'Reilly, won't be getting the Emmy recognition she deserves. Her entire performance as Mon Mothma throughout season 2 deserves more praise, but she isn't the only one tragically left off the list.

Even more of the show's top performers, from Diego Luna to Stellan Skarsgård and Adria Arjona, don't appear anywhere on this list. Many of these actors appeared in most episodes of the season and delivered award-worthy performances, but Star Wars fans will just have to band together to keep recognizing their brilliance on our own.
