Andor will go down in history as one of the most well-received Star Wars shows on Disney+. Viewers couldn't get enough of the series, and its natural conclusion at the end of Season 2 hasn't stopped fans of a galaxy far, far away from talking about it.
The show's actors, too, still have plenty to reveal about the show, their performances, and its behind-the-scenes production. On Jimmy Kimmel Live recently, Diego Luna (Cassian) and Adria Arjona (Bix) got to talking about filming the series. Arjona revealed that even though the actors were supposed to access their scripts via password protection on iPads, she never did.
“I took pictures of it and I printed the whole script," she admitted. “I just need the paper. I need to write things down."
This led to the actor unintentionally tattling on co-star Stellan Skarsgård, who allegedly did the same thing and felt no shame in doing so. Sure, iPads technically save on printing costs in the long term -- maybe -- but some actors are going to do whatever it takes to get their performances right. And can you blame them?
This is fine, considering both Arjona and Skarsgård gave top-tier performances in the show, especially in the series' second and final season, which ended last month. If you're going to break the rules and print out screenshots of your scripts, but you give Emmy-worthy monologues and make the Star Wars universe feel more real than it ever has just by your facial expressions alone, we don't care about that first part.
There's no one person wholly responsible for making a show like Andor shine as bright as it does. It all begins, of course, with a solid and well-polished script. It's the work of directors, actors, and dozens of others on that set and in the editing rooms to make something that good. But everyone has to give themselves fully over to it if it's going to work, and clearly each one of these actors did just that. Maybe even a little bit more.
