This article contains spoilers for Andor Season 2, episodes 1-3.
Andor Season 2 is here, which means it's time to place your best on who will live and who will die. Week One wasn't kind as two players from the first season went out, one in a cold moment and the other in an off-screen no-doubter. We also lost some characters introduced in these episodes just to see them bite it. Let's break it down.
These are the characters who died in Andor Season 2, episodes 1-3
Gerdis and Bardi

Ah, you silly baby rebels. We hardly knew you.
Gerdis and Bardi were introduced in episode 1, "One Year Later," as members of the Maya Pei Brigade who had been stranded on what was later revealed to be Yavin IV. After taking Cassian hostage, their desperation caused them to split into factions, with both Bardi and Gerdis acting as leaders in the fight. They were so focused on infighting and did not want to help each other that neither of them noticed the beasts in the jungles. A massive Yavinian doodar charged out of the trees, swallowing the two in one gulp.
Tay Kolma

This was brutal but showed the lengths Mon Mothma and Luthen Rael must go for the Greater Good.
Mon's childhood friend, Tay Kolma, was important in Season 1, helping the senator hide her rebel activity in her finances. In the year since, he fell on hard times financially, and his wife left him. At the wedding of Leida Mothma, he was not at all quiet about his displeasure with all of this. Getting drunk and cozying up to gangsters like Stekan Sculdun, who in turn was cozying up to Imperials, Mon and Luthen could see a problem was quickly brewing that put the entire Rebellion in danger.
Luthen, much to Mon's dismay, set up Cinta Kaz to pick up Tay to silence him off-screen. As Cinta is pretty much Luthen's Angel of Death, this is the last of Tay Kolma.
Brasso

This was the most painful of them all. Brasso was a fan favorite character from the get-go. His brick-wielding slapping a fascist in the face at Maarva's funeral is one of the most iconic moments of the entire show.
Brasso gave himself up to protect his friends from Ferrix and the people who had helped him on the planet of Mina-Rau. A chase ensued as Imperials shot at him. Cassian Andor arrived in a Tie he had stolen, taking care of the Imperials. After he landed, Cassian saw he was too late. Brasso had been shot down by a blaster bolt.
It feels so cold and unfair, which is very much the point of it. We know from Season 1 how seriously the people of Ferrix take their funeral proceedings. Brasso will get no brick. No chance to leave his last words for the living like Maarva did. All Cassian could do was grab Bix Caleen and Wilmon Paak to get them to safety, leaving Brasso's body behind.
