Cassian Andor’s story isn’t gone for good, but if you were watching Andor on Hulu, you'll need to head over to Disney+ to finish your rewatch.
Fans noticed earlier this month that the critically acclaimed Star Wars series was set to leave Hulu, with a quiet “Expires Thursday” label appearing beneath the thumbnail. Sure enough, on Thursday, July 3, Andor vanished from Hulu's catalog, meaning the show is exclusively available to stream on Disney+.
The move shouldn’t come as a surprise. Though both services are owned by Disney and often share content, Disney has been steadily centralizing its biggest properties on its flagship streamer, and Star Wars is no exception.
Andor was never a Hulu original series, of course. The show debuted in 2022 on Disney+ as one of the boldest and most narratively rich Star Wars series to date, offering an inside look at the Rebellion in the early days of the Empire. As a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor has been hugely popular with critics and fans alike, even earning an incredible 97% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer. It's the highest-rated of the Disney+ Star Wars shows, though just barely.
The popular series featured standout performances from Diego Luna, Fiona Shaw, Alan Tudyk, Stellan Skarsgård, and Denise Gough.
Andor season 2 — which wrapped its 12-episode run on May 13, 2025 — ended the series, bringing Cassian’s story arc full circle, ending just before Rogue One and the original 1977 Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
Though it was initially planned as a longer series that would have taken place over 15 years, creator Tony Gilroy and Lucasfilm opted to condense the story into two tightly woven seasons, a decision that many fans now see as a masterstroke. Nonetheless, it’s bittersweet. Andor carved out a unique space in the Star Wars canon, praised for its grit and slow-burn writing.
While its departure from Hulu may feel like a loss for non-Disney+ subscribers, Andor isn’t gone. If anything, it’s right where it belongs, streaming alongside The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the rest of the galaxy’s lore on Disney+.
Stay tuned for more news about Star Wars and its hit shows on Disney+ and beyond! You can watch both seasons of Andor on Disney+ right now.
