As the weather begins to get cooler and the days begin to become shorter, many of us begin to turn to choosing what to stream and what to watch to stay in from the chill. As a parent, it is sometimes hard to find entertaining shows that I can watch with my daughter.

Searching for the right series to share, I have chosen to rewatch Star Wars: The Bad Batch and, for my daughter, Brooklyn, introduce her to the world of the show. I think it is an excellent show to choose that highlights not only great male characters but a heroic younger character she can emulate through Omega. I thought it is perfect time for her and I to watch the show together. We will be reviewing it together. I am curious what her reviews will be.

My Young Daughter's First Reactions to The Bad Batch

Brooklyn has watched a few episodes of The Bad Batch with my wife and me. So far, her favorite moments are watching Omega on screen.

I chose first to show her the trailers for all three seasons to judge her reaction. She was very interested in watching and asked a few questions. Brooklyn first wanted to know if the Batch were good clones or bad clones. She then wondered if Omega was going to be okay. I believe she will be able to find the answer to both questions as she watches the entirety of the series.

Looking back at the trailers myself, I remembered my personal favorite episode from the first time I watched the series: Season 2 episode "Tribe." Bringing back the young Jedi from The Clone Wars, Gungi, was a clever moment for the series. At the end of the episode, as Gungi and Omega are praying to the tree as the elder Wookiee and Hunter look on and are sad about the world they are living in, I can reflect for any parent in the world that our children are living in.

I have gotten Brooklyn into the Ninja Turtles and the WNBA. She likes elements of the Star Wars franchise, and I hope that as we review the series, we can add The Bad Batch to things we can share and enjoy. It will be fun and exciting for both of us, especially for me, as I see the series through her eyes.
