After waiting a few years since it was announced and the recent leaks that got the internet excited, we got our first official look at the upcoming turn-based strategy game from Lucasfilm Games, Bit Reactor, Respawn, and EA.

Announced via StarWars.com, the new game is Star Wars Zero Company, which showed off some of its cast of characters.

Notice how I said "some of" because the Star Wars article specifically notes that this is only "a few members of the elite squad" that would be put together throughout the single-player game. I do not doubt that when we get more information during Star Wars Celebration Japan, we'll not only get the names of these characters but see some more potential team members as well.

There are a few things we can glean from this poster reveal. The time period seems to be during the Clone Wars, as one of the characters is wearing a clone trooper helmet while another human character has a holo of a B1 Battle Droid in hand. Along with an astromech, we had a Benthic Jedi and what appears to be a Mandalorian. As Mandos and Jedi don't have the best history together, that could be an interesting match. If this is set in the Clone Wars era and crosses over into Order 66, there could be some blaster bolts firing for the Jedi and clone too. Rounding out the group is what looks like an Umbaran in their gas-enhancing armor. However, that character could be a new or different species.

We're going to be looking forward to more information at Star Wars Celebration on Saturday, April 19, where there will be the Bit Reactor Developer Panel featuring Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games panel. It's been confirmed by StarWars.com that we will get more information there.

For now, this little look at Star Wars Zero Company looks neat, and I can't wait to hear more about this at Celebration this weekend.
