Death is a predictable outcome in Star Wars, but let's talk about some characters who deserve a happy ending. These characters have gone through their share of hardships, and it's time they catch a break.
Here are 10 Star Wars characters who deserve happy endings:
1. Ezra Bridger
Ezra lost both his parents and found family again in the Ghost Crew. When he sacrificed himself to save his planet at the end of Star Wars Rebels, he ended up in the wasteland of Peridea, where he spent years away from his friends. Now that he's back home at the end of Ahsoka, we think he deserves a happy ending. Maybe he can settle down on Lothal and teach younglings about the Force.
2. Sabine Wren
Sabine has lost everyone, too, and although some fans have predicted that she'll pay a big price for being the catalyst for bringing Thrawn back to the home Galaxy, she deserves a happy ending. At some point, it would be nice if Sabine went home to Mandalore and made peace with what happened to her family there.
3. Ahsoka Tano
We've all watched her grow up from a Padawan to having a Padawan of herself. Along the way, Ahsoka's lost a lot, and most fans who grew up with her would like to see their beloved Jedi get the happiness she deserves. Though she seems destined for big things, maybe at the end of her story, she can find a place to sit quietly and reflect on her journey, surrounded by many friends and, perhaps, a family.
4. Hera Syndulla
Hera Syndulla's done a lot for the people she loves, and she's lost the love of her life along the way. Our only wish for Hera now is for her to be able to watch Jacen grow up so she can teach him everything about being a pilot, a Rebel, and Kanan Jarrus.
5. Jacen Syndulla
Jacen has a very bright future ahead and seems like he's inherited a perfect blend of his parents' talents. With Hera's piloting skills and Kanan's Force powers, he's destined to become a great Jedi. Jacen's already growing up without one parent, but let's hope he gets to keep the family he has left, including Mom Hera and his favorite droid, Chopper.
6. Din Djarin
The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, has made a place in the hearts of millions of fans across the world. In just three seasons, fans have grown very attached to the helmeted hero, and now that he has a little family of his, fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Din gets to live a long and happy life with Grogu by his side and sets an example as a Mandalorian dad to a Force sensitive child.
7. Grogu
The sweet little guy has seen his share of war and has more trauma than most people do in their entire lives. He's only 50, so he's got several hundred years left, but he deserves a childhood to cherish. This is Grogu's time to be a kid, and Din will probably find a healthy way to balance Grogu's playtime with his Mandalorian training. We hope they have many happy years together, full of adventures and unforgettable memories.
8. The Bad Batch
They've already lost one member in Season 2, and fans are anxious to see how it all ends for the Batch. We hope Hunter's secret wish of settling down somewhere and giving Omega a regular childhood comes true. He should get to share that future with his brothers, including Crosshair, whose probable end doesn't seem like it will be anything less than tragic. Nevertheless, Clone Force 99 has already been through enough, and we hope they have a happy ending.
9. Omega
Omega's never had a normal childhood and doesn't know much about the galaxy, but she's extremely attached to her brothers who're equally protective of her. Omega was taken by the Empire at the end of The Bad Batch Season 2, so her future is in question. We hope she grows up surrounded by the love and happiness every child deserves.
10. Boba Fett
Boba's gotten a second chance at life and based on events of The Book of Boba Fett, he won't waste it. After cleaning up Mos Espa with the help of his friends Fennec Shand and Din Djarin, Boba is thriving as the Daimyo. Everyone's wondering what's next for Boba. Hopefully, he can make Jango Fett proud and have a happy ending.
