4 Reasons why the Mandoverse characters should move to the new galaxy

The Ahsoka series introduced a new galaxy to the Star Wars canon, opening a world of possibilities for Star Wars and the main characters in the New Republic timeline.

The Ahsoka finale left most fans wondering when Ahsoka Tano and her Padawan, Sabine Wren would return home, but will they return home at all?

The barren wasteland of Peridea isn't the ideal place to call home, but the rest of the new galaxy introduced in Ahsoka season 1 could be a good setting for our Mando timeline heroes. For anyone wondering why characters from the Star Wars home galaxy should move to a new galaxy, there are several solid reasons why this would be a good move.

Here's a look at 4 of those reasons:

1. No more sequel-trilogy factor

By now, everyone knows that shows like The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and Ahsoka are just a few of the recent Star Wars stories leading to the Star Wars sequels. This might be exciting for fans of the sequels, but limits the potential these characters have for growth as the events that take place within The Mandalorian's timeline become somewhat predictable, as they all lead to the return of Palpatine.

A good way to change this would be to have major characters like Ahsoka, Sabine, Ezra, Din Djarin, and Grogu move to the new galaxy so they can embark on a brand new journey with limitless potential. This allows creative freedom to explore the full potential of these characters without breaking from canon.

2. A great opportunity for character growth

Characters such as Ahsoka and Din Djarin know their galaxy very well and travel to nearly every corner of it in their lifetimes. A story where well-known Star Wars characters must leave the known galaxy and venture into the unknown to settle there permanently would offer an opportunity for character growth as they'll encounter new civilizations and conflicts in places they've never seen before. This would be an intriguing way for these characters to grow and evolve.

3. It could change the way they view the force and themselves

One of the lasting visuals of the Ahsoka series is the statues of the Gods of Mortis. The Gods of Mortis represent the light and dark sides of the force and The Father, who brings balance to both and this likely means that the force will play a big role in Ahsoka Season 2. If the force works differently in the new galaxy, this discovery might challenge what Ahsoka was taught as a Jedi. These challenges will allow our favorite characters to discover new aspects of themselves.

4. Exploring stunning new worlds

As Star Wars fans, we love world-building. A new galaxy allows one to explore stunning new worlds and unique planetary environments. This also means new adventures as our favorite characters explore uncharted territories and mingle with new civilizations.

We'll learn more about the new galaxy's role in Star Wars when Ahsoka Season 2 premieres, which won't be for a while. Until then, it's fun to speculate what Dave Filoni is cooking up for all the Mandoverse characters.
