A few weeks ago, we looked at everyone in Star Wars who was part of the Skywalker family tree or used the names. Throughout the saga, Solo has become a pretty popular surname as well. The Solo family has become just as important to the galaxy, if not more so, throughout the events in Star Wars. But how many people exactly have been a part of the Solo family?
From both Star Wars Legends and canon, let's explore all the people who have officially had the name Skywalker.
Han Solo
As we learned in the movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, Han is the original Solo. He was given the name when he applied for the Imperial Academy and needed a surname in order to be able to join. It seems that Han simply kept the name Solo after he left, and it would become his official surname for the rest of his life. We do know that Han's father was named Ovan, but he never went by the name Solo. So, Ovan doesn't make the list even though he's technically on the family tree.
Leia Organa Solo
Leia would marry Han after the events of the Galactic Civil War and would take on his last name of Solo as well. The pair would separate after their son's fall to the Dark Side, and Leia would return to using the surname Organa. In addition to being married to Leia, another character named Sana Starros has also claimed to have been married to Han at one point. Though he has denied it, and while Sana took his name long enough for a job, the marriage was a scam and not official.
Ben Solo
The son of Han and Leia, Ben Solo was trained by his uncle, Luke Skywalker, to be a part of the next generation of Jedi. This, of course, ended up going horribly wrong when he fell to the Dark Side and took on the name Kylo Ren. He would eventually turn back from the Dark Side and once again be Ben Solo for the final hours of his life.
Technically, these three are the only official members of the Solo family tree in the current Star Wars canon. But, if we take a quick look at the Legends timeline, you'll see that there were actually quite a lot more Solos at one point in time.
