Another New York Comic Con is just around the corner! As one of the bigger cons around, there are always some exciting reveals during the weekend, especially on the publishing side of things. The event just released the list of panels for the four-day convention, so let's take a look at the Star Wars schedule.

The Way of The Jedi: Lessons in Mindfulness 3:30 P.M. EST: More than ever people are in need of guidance in quieting their minds in order to ease their anxieties, fears, lift the fog created by depression, and even to make day to day decisions. At this workshop attendees will be taught mindfulness techniques utilized to address anxiety, negative thinking, and racing thoughts highlighted by quotes from the Jedi in Star Wars Episodes 1-6. This workshop will be lead by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dressed in full Jedi costume. The goal is to teach attendees practical mindfulness techniques they can easily implement in their daily mindfulness practice.

From Page to Screen: Authors on Adaptations 8:00 P.M. EST: We’ve all heard "the book was better." Bestselling authors John Jackson Miller (Batman: Resurrection), Delilah Dawson (Star Wars: Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade), Steven Barnes (Star Wars: Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss), Rachael Allen (Harley Quinn: Redemption), Tiffany D. Jackson (Storm: Dawn of a Goddess) hold an in-depth discussion about book-inspired films and TV shows, film-inspired books, and all that goes into adapting stories for different mediums.

LUCASFILM PUBLISHING: Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away 3:30 P.M. EST: From the days of the glorious High Republic to the Age of Rebellion to Rise of the First Order, join some of Lucasfilm Publishing's all-star authors as they discuss stories from throughout the entire Star Wars saga, including publishing reveals, announcements, and sneak peeks for readers and fans of all ages.

Hasbro Toy Panel – Action Brands 5:15 P.M. EST: Hasbro hosts an action-packed toy panel with brand marketing team members revealing exciting new products, giving fans a first look across its iconic action brands. The panel will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of TRANSFORMERS with new Studio Series figures, and announce new team members joining the G.I. JOE Classified Series line. And you won't want to miss the launch of the latest HasLab project for Ghostbusters! In addition, the panel will bring updates on the Hasbro lines inspired by Star Wars™, including The Black Series and The Vintage Collection, and MARVEL, including exciting news about the Marvel Legends product line.

Star Wars Comics with Dark Horse and Lucasfilm Publishing 1:45 P.M. EST: Fans are invited to traverse the galaxy in this panel featuring comic creator guests! Join us for a showcase of new and upcoming comics and graphic novels from Lucasfilm Publishing and Dark Horse Comics.

The George Lucas Talk Show 3:15 P.M. EST: A show for Star Wars fans and non-fans alike comes to NYCC! Comedian Connor Ratliff ("Dead Eyes", "The Marvelous Mrs Maisel") appears as George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, and interviews guests like a "normal talk show". He is joined by sidekick Watto, played by Griffin Newman ("Blank Check", "The Tick"), and show producer Patrick Cotnoir ("ASSSSCAT", "Marvel", "The Chris Gethard Show"). The show has been running since 2014 and was a regular show at the UCB Theatre in New York City for years. It has been streaming on Twitch since 2020.

Robinson leads a spirited debate with celebrity authors and actors choosing sides to to fight for their points, with the audience ultimately deciding the winner.
