2023 was an up-and-down year in a lot of ways. However, we had many exciting new entries for a galaxy far, far away. The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, The Bad Batch, Star Wars: Visions Season 2, and Young Jedi Adventures brought us new Star Wars content for all ages. The High Republic still dominated the book and comic side of things. Jedi: Survivor shined in the video game world, while Galaxy of Heroes released steady content.

While 2024 will be a bit of a strange year. Thanks to the AMPTP and studio executives dragging their feet to negotiate with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, the result is upcoming projects are a bit more slowed in the coming months. We know Andor Season 2 has already been pushed back. Though, The Acolyte and Skeleton are still on the horizon. The Bad Batch and Tales of the Jedi weren't impacted by the strikes as they are both under The Animation Guild, so no worries there.

However, it is also the 25th anniversary of Episode I: The Phantom Menace. We already know books and comics are on the way for the celebration. I'm sure there will be plenty more announcements throughout the year, especially in the first half leading up to its birthday in May.

With the back and forth of Star Wars and the rough upcoming waters ahead, there is one thing that has been a constant: our readers. You are the best readers in the galaxy, and it is a joy to continue to produce content for you. Thank you for your ongoing support, giving us one of our best years to date. In 2024, we plan to keep on giving you fantastic work, so make sure to keep on checking back.

Happy holidays to you and your loved ones from all of us at Dork Side of the Force.

May the Force be with you.
