After the insane cliffhanger ending of episode 4, “Day,” Star Wars: Acolyte episode 5 is going to kick off with quite the bang.

“Day” ended with Mae rejecting her dark side master’s wishes, wanting to turn herself into the Wookiee Jedi Master Kelnacca. It was a choice made wanting to be with her sister, Osha, now knowing that her twin survived the events 16 years ago on Brendok. However, when she arrived at Kelnacca’s house, the Jedi was already dead from a fresh lightsaber wound to his chest. She realized her master was already there.

Outside, Osha arrived with the Jedi, led by her previous master Sol, and accompanied by Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar. They surround Kelnacca’s hut, knowing that Mae is inside. Suddenly, a figure floats down behind Osha. It’s the dark side Master, who flings her out of the way to face the Jedi. It was a heck of an ending, one that left us chomping at the bit to see what happens this week.
