Rosario Dawson may have dropped a hint regarding the journey ahead for her character, Ahsoka Tano, in the upcoming season of Ahsoka that could open for the return of a familiar face.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen discussed their work on the Ahsoka series. When asked about the role Anakin Skywalker might play in Ahsoka's life in the future, Rosario shared her hope that Anakin will continue to impart his wisdom "because the road ahead is not going to be easy."

Speaking on Anakin's role in the future, Rosario believes that there's limitless potential for the character after he's become a Force ghost:

"We've gotten to see from the films now into the show that he's been able to become this Force ghost that brings him back to Anakin, who at the end of the day, when he went and ascended to that space, that's what he became."
Rosario Dawson.

Taking it further, Rosario says she's glad that Anakin is there for Ahsoka as an "access point" and that "If Dave Filoni is listening, I hope we get to explore that more because the road ahead is not going to be easy."

Rosario Dawson.

Rosaro isn't alone, as many fans want Hayden to return as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2. Fans hope that the World Between Worlds wasn't the last time the two will speak to each other. The season ends with a shot of Anakin's Force ghost, and whether or not Ahsoka could sense him is left up to the viewers to decide for themselves. The ending can also be interpreted as a sign from Filoni that Hayden will be back in Season 2, which is what Rosario is also hoping for.

Ahsoka and Sabine are left stranded on Peridea at the end of Ahsoka Season 1. However, whether Rosario hinted at a tough time on Peridea or a difficult road ahead once she's back in the home galaxy remains to be seen.

We have Dave Filoni's Ahsoka Season 2 concept art to give us an idea of what's ahead. Rosario likely knows what's next for Ahsoka, but we'll have to wait till Season 2 to see why she believes the road ahead won't be easy. Peridea is a wasteland, but Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati could sense something sinister there. The planet is also home to huge statues of the Gods of Mortis. At the end of Season 1, Ahsoka's convor friend, Morai, reappeared. Morai has spiritual ties to The Daughter and has kept a watch over Ahsoka for many years. Its reappearance may suggest Ahsoka is about to be tested in ways we can't imagine.
