Rumor: Could Jedi: Fallen Order come to the Nintendo Switch 2?

I'll be the first to say I'm not the biggest gamer in the world. I've never been able to get the consoles to play games, so I mostly live in the world of Let's Plays on YouTube. That said, I worked very hard to get my little Switch, so I'm always happy to play games on it. When the highly praised Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order came out, I was bummed but not surprised that the game wouldn't be on the Switch. However, that might change soon if this rumor is true about the Star Wars video game.

To be clear, this is very much a rumor and to be taken with a grain of salt. Shared on the Subreddit GamingLeaksandRumours via Gameranx, user Joseki100 revealed a post from a person named ResetERA, who supposedly worked on the Switch 2 and shared that several third-party titles were coming to the console. They said:

"Hmmmm, I never signed any pieces of paper or e-NDAs, all I heard was that the Switch 2 was releasing in 2025 back in early 2023, as I had an opportunity to port a game to it for my next project. I had just come off of said games sequel so that should tell you what kind of library is being readied for this thing, although tbf it was a big franchise and a big name for casuals/non-gamers to get excited about. I'm thinking Nintendo want to give a big buffer of time for 3rd parties/AAA ports to stack up for the release date."

Joseki100 then speculates, "The timeline fits perfectly for Fallen Order as the sequel (Survivor) released in 2023, the supposed date this person started working on the previous entry of this "big name franchise" (Star Wars)."

Again, this is a total rumor and speculation. However, I would love this. The Switch tends to be much more affordable than some of its competitors. When I trade in my little Switch for a Switch 2, I'd love to finally be able to play Jedi: Fallen Order. I want to go on an adventure with Cal Kestis, hang out with my little buddy BD-1, fight the Second Sister, and finally see what this beloved game is all about.

As always, we'll have to wait and see in the long run whether or not this rumor is true. It could be a bunch of bantha poodoo for all we know. Still, a Star Wars fan can dream, right?
