Star Wars Battlefront fans rejoice! Announced in the latest Nintendo Direct, the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is coming on March 14 from Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games.

With details from StarWars.com, this release brings the next generation of new fans to classic games Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) for multiple consoles like the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will release bonus content that had only been previously available for both titles, expand upon the online play, which will allow up to 64 players with online support, and promise a bigger Hero Assault mode.

In fact, the Hero Assault mode will include, for the first time ever, the ability to be on all playable maps, including Naboo, the Death Star, Kamino, and Kashyyyk. In Hero Assault, players can choose from a wide range of heroes and villains, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul, Yoda, Darth Vader, Mace Windu, and more.

Some of the bonus maps include Jabba's Palace from the first Battlefront game and from Battlefront II the Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Yavin 4: Arena, and more. Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto are additional characters available to play. There are the original campaign modes as well as the Galaxy Conquest.

StarWars.com shares about the classic games, "Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II, originally developed by LucasArts, are action/shooter games that incorporate elements of strategy and stand among the most beloved Star Wars games of all time."
