If you have yet to download Star Wars: Hunters, it's not too late! In fact, now is the perfect time to jump in with the launch of the game's third season on September 24.

Originally launched to everyone in June 2024, the free-to-play game has continuously added new content for its players to enjoy since day one. Season 3 may be one of the biggest updates to the game yet, so let's briefly break down the changes.

The headlining new feature of the season is the newest playable hunter, an AT-ST-piloting Ewok named Pilbush. As with previous Arena Pass characters, you can only unlock this latest addition by purchasing an Arena Pass for the game. But eventually, if you wait long enough, you will be able to start her Hunter's Path for free.

The second most significant update is the newest arena map. Last season was all about Vader's Castle, but it's time to get a little chilly with a quick trip to Hoth. This map will take you a few matches to get used to, so be patient -- you'll probably get lost. Or fall to your demise on accident. Or both. It happens.

Now that a new season has launched, you can begin your path to unlocking the headlining Season One character, the Mandalorian Aran Tal. You still can't unlock the path for K-A0S just yet, but you can now purchase her individually without a full Arena Pass.

And of course, with a new season comes new purchasable items in the shop. Many of these items are attainable with in-game credits and crystals, so if you're like me and determined never to spend a single real-world cent on one of these games, you won't miss out on too much.

There are many more exciting things to come, so keep checking back for more exciting updates.

Star Wars: Hunters is available to download for free on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch.
