Star Wars Outlaws artifact could be hinting at an exciting Mandalorian prophecy
Star Wars fans are known for their keen observation skills, always noticing Easter Eggs hidden in every Star Wars project. This time, fans may have spotted an artifact in Star Wars Outlaws that could have an important connection to The Mandalorian.
According to a fan playing the Outlaws game, the artifact is found on Canto Bight, during the game's first mission. The artifact has a Mandalorian helmet that bears a striking similarity to Tarre Vizsla's helmet in the middle and is surrounded by various sigils, including the Mudhorn Sigil and the shriek-hawk worn by Clan Vizsla and the Death Watch. While the shriek-hawk was the symbol of Clan Vizsla, it was eventually adopted by all members of the Death Watch.
This artifact includes other symbols we're all familiar with, including the Darksaber and the Mythosaur. The Darksaber originally belonged to the first and only Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla, but was passed down to many others, including Din Djarin, who bears the Mudhorn signet on his right shoulder. Djarin earned the Mudhorn signet during Chapter 2 of The Mandalorian, where he retrieved a Mudhorn's egg for the Jawas with Grogu's help. In Season 3 of The Mandalorian, Grogu receives a Beskar chest plate adorned with the same Mudhorn signet his father wears.
Fans are already trying to decode the meaning behind this artifact and whether it's a hint for the future of The Mandalorian or Mandalorians in general. Interestingly, Star Wars Outlaws is canon and takes place before events of The Mandalorian season 1, so this artifact predates Din receiving the Mudhorn as his signet. This important detail could tell us the history of the Mudhorn signet. Did other Mandalorians wear it to symbolize their clans, or is Din Djarin the first Mandalorian to receive it? If Djarin is the first to wear the Mudhorn emblem, Star War Outlaws may hint at a prophecy involving Djarin and his son, Grogu.
The duo could play an important role in the future of Mandalore, and they might be connected to Tarre Vizsla himself. While many have already guessed that Grogu could be the next Mandalorian Jedi who tames the Mythosaur, heralds in a new age of Mandalore, and rules the planet for several hundred years, this artifact may be teasing an exciting future for Djarin as well.
The Armorer has always treated Din Djarin differently than other members of his covert, which begs the question of whether she knows more about him than he does. Is there a prophecy about a Mandalorian who wears a Mudhorn signet, or is this just another fun Easter Egg for fans to dissect as they await The Mandalorian and Grogu? We'll have to wait to find out.
