Stunning Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1 preview released online
A preview of Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1 has been uploaded to the official Star Wars website. Readers who are looking forward to the upcoming comic series can check it out now. The preview features the first four pages of the upcoming Marvel comic, and the manga art style looks absolutely stunning. As you can see from the preview, the story will also primarily be in black and white, with the protagonist’s blood-red lightsaber being the only thing depicted in color. Needless to say, you certainly will not forget the visual presentation of Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1 in a hurry.
Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1 is a one-shot comic book that expands upon the story of "The Duel," the first episode of Star Wars: Visions. The plot will focus on the backstory of the mysterious figure known as The Ronin, a former Sith who now dedicates his life to eliminating any remaining Sith within the furthest corners of the galaxy. And we can see from the atmospheric cover that B5-56, the popular astromech droid who assisted The Ronin throughout "The Duel," will also appear in the comic. This is certainly a positive sign because no Star Wars story would be complete without the appearance of a trusty droid.
As its name suggests, Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1 will be written and illustrated by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki, who also wrote the episode of Star Wars: Visions, which the story expands upon. As with the show, the comic will be non-canon, so the events of the story will not have an impact on the official Star Wars timeline in any way. That doesn't stop Ronin from being a popular character. He already has his own novel, Ronin: A Visions Novel, by Emma Mieko Candon, diving more into his mysterious backstory along with Kouru, the Sith he faced in the Visions short.
If you are looking forward to reading Star Wars: Visions – Takashi Okazaki #1, it will be released by Marvel Comics on March 20, 2024, with both digital and print copies being available. If you want to pre-order your copy before its release, you can do so here. You can see the full comic preview here on StarWars.com.
