Young Jedi Adventures episode “Nash’s Race Day” opens in the town of Kublop Springs, getting ready for the yearly race, the Kublop Classic. Nash Durango and her droid RJ-83 are fixing up their boat for the big race. They’re helped by their friends, Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs. She is so enthusiastic that she will win the race this year.

Lys is excited, too, because they get to join her on the sailing skiff to assist Nash. The pilot designed it, and the Jedi younglings helped her build it. Jedi Master Zia Zanna arrives, and she is very impressed by the group’s work. Nash is grateful to the Jedi since she never had a crew to help her. They unfurl the ship to show Master Zia…

…which promptly falls into the water. Nubs and Kai use the Force to put the sail back on top. This does not impress another snooty racer named Raena Zess, who is Nash’s rival. Apparently, Nash has never beaten Raena in a race because of Raena’s better ship that her rich uncle has bought. She even has a group of pit droids to help run her ship.

Nash is sure she’s going to win! Her friends have the Force, which is way better than any droids. Raena is not impressed, zooming off on her boat.

Master Zia is also quick to point out that Jedi train to help people, not use their Force abilities to help people win races. Kai agrees that it would be unfair for them to use the Force against the other racers. Nash is surprised to hear from Master Zia it would be considered cheating.

Still, the master believes in their team working together will be enough for them to win.

It’s time for the race with Kai on speed control, Nubs on the sail, Lys looking out for obstacles, and Nash will pilot with RJ. The racers are off!

Zooming through the rivers of Tenoo is a harrowing, fast affair! Together, the group navigates through the trees growing from the water, but Raena is still in the lead. To make things worse, she’s cheating! Raena drops a smoke bomb, taking out one of the other ships. One by one, the other ships fall out of the race until it’s just Nash and her Jedi friends versus Raena.

Raena thinks the Jedi are using their Force abilities and cheating with some turbo boosters. Both of their ships go over a waterfall and get stuck in the mud at the bottom. The kids try to push their boat out, but it’s really stuck!

Nash asks the Jedi to use the Force. Kai still refuses because it would be cheating. Nash laments that Reana always makes her feel awful. Raena brags and rubs Nash’s losses in her face. Nash thinks that maybe she just isn’t good enough.

Kai tells her that of course she’s good enough! Nash just navigated down a waterfall and they all survived all because of Nash’s skills.

Nash realizes that she and Raena can get their skiffs out if they work together. Raena doesn’t understand why the Jedi don’t use the Force, and she’s shocked to find out that they haven’t this entire time.

They all agree to work together by linking their boats together with a tow cable. Both teams come together to push their boats out of the mud.

The racers reset and decide to do the last part of the race: Fair and square.

They’re off, zipping through the geyser portion of the river. Reana pulls ahead, but Nash has a plan. She aims for a geyser that blows at just the moment! Their ship flies high into the air, sailing over Raena’s vessel. Landing just in front, Nash zooms through the finish line as the winner!

Raena and Nash shake hands and look forward to the next race. Nash is presented with her trophy. Master Zia and Nash’s moms congratulate the team which is where “Nash’s Race Day” comes to an end.
