Stellan Skarsgard (Luthen Rael) has quickly become a Star Wars legend. The Swedish actor, a veteran of the industry, plays Luthen Rael in Andor Season 1. Stellan's performance was indeed stellar, and many fans thought he was robbed of an Emmy and Golden Globe Nomination for the role.

There's still hope of that happening since, according to Stellan, the writing for Andor Season 2 is brilliant. This shouldn't surprise fans because the writing for Season 1 has been very well received, and the second season seems poised for the same critical acclaim. In a recent interview with Gizmodo.com, Stellan shared his thoughts on the next and final season of Andor, and the actor was beaming at the mention of the show.

"“It’s such good writing and it’s Tony Gilroy, I really like to say his lines.”"

When asked how he feels about his character in Season 2, he said, “I’m satisfied where it goes, yeah,” He goes on to add, “It’s such good writing and it’s Tony Gilroy, I really like to say his lines.” As far as lines go, Luthen Rael has one of the most powerful monologues in Andor, and his comments indicate there might be at least one more of those in Season 2. It will be interesting to see where Luthen Rael ends up by the time the series concludes and whether there's any room left for the character to return in any future Star Wars projects after Andor.

The possibility of that is still open for a few of the new characters introduced in the series, but characters such as Cassian stand no chance. Their fate is already decided because of the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Even though fans know exactly what direction the series is going in and that Cassian will ultimately sacrifice his life for the galaxy, there's no shortage of excitement for Season 2. It's extremely exciting to imagine Cassian's journey to becoming one of the most trusted members of the Rebel Alliance and the role others, such as Luthen and Mon Mothma, played along the way.

While Andor Season 2 has wrapped up filming, fans will have to wait a little longer for it, as the show won't premiere on Disney+ until sometime in 2025.
