Looks like we now know the next series that will follow The Bad Batch once it wraps up its final season. Collider released a scoop for The Acolyte's premiere window. While there's no specific date, it is confirmed that the Leslye Headland show will drop sometime in summer 2024.

The series is set 50 years before the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, which makes the summer release all the more fitting, as Episode I is celebrating its 25th anniversary in May. It's been promised to be a dark noir-like series about a former Jedi Padawan teaming up her old to investigate troubling crimes rising in the galaxy. The show is set at the tail end of The High Republic era, which has been a massive multimedia success. While High Republic fans have seen the brighter side of the time in the preschool series Young Jedi Adventures, this will be the first time the era has been portrayed in live-action.

The Acolyte also showcases an all-star cast, with the talents of Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Joonas Suotamo, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett. Also, it was revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2023 that Headland's wife, Rebecca Henderson, would play fan-favorite character Vernestra Rwoh, who has been one of the biggest players in the multimedia initiative.

Knowing that Skeleton Crew is also poised to come out this year, that series will more than likely bump its release date back to the fall or winter. It is a Mandoverse show, and they're often released around those times.

It's exciting to know that The Acolyte is so soon. As a fan of The High Republic with Young Jedi Adventures being quite the guilty pleasure show (Rise up, Nubs Nation!), I'm ready to see the time period jump to live action.
