The Bad Batch is another one of those projects that you probably didn't ask for but wound up loving anyway. It shows us what the Galaxy is like immediately after the fall of the Galactic Republic and what happens to all the clones. Fans are wary of what the final season holds, considering how Season 2 ended. But if we look at the history of Star Wars shows and movies in that era, there are 3 possible endings for The Bad Batch.

1. Return of the Jedi Type of Ending

One of them is the bittersweet that maybe we'll get a mostly happy Return of the Jedi ending. This ending resolves almost every conflict and closes each character's arc in the most satisfying way possible. This ending will probably give fans everything they want. If the show ends like Return of the Jedi, then it's likely that someone will sacrifice themselves for the greater good, but the Batch will end up together. They might settle down on Pabu, and all the other surviving clones will be given closure. The enemy will, for the time being, appear to be defeated or on the run. That's unlikely, given the fact that the Empire is only beginning to sink its teeth into the galaxy and has many atrocities left to commit before its fall.

2. The Clone Wars Season 7 Type of Ending

An ending like The Clone Wars would mean death and destruction for The Bad Batch. Expect the worst if this is what the writers have planned, and gear up to lose a few more of your favorite characters. The ending of The Clone Wars is where every main character loses the bonds they cherished the most. Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and Captain Rex all get separated. Something similar can happen in The Bad Batch if they lose another member and decide that the only way to survive is to part ways, otherwise the Empire won't spare them.

3. A Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Type of Ending

Lastly, the ending could be similar to the end of Star Wars Rebels Season 4. This ending means there's some resolution but also leaves the door open for future storylines. The characters all have a promising future ahead, and fans would be curious to see what's next for them. The Bad Batch series finale may tie up all loose threads, sending the main characters on their way. This ending might set up possible live-action appearances for one or more of them in the future. Bring back Temuera Morrison, please!

As the series is set during the reign of the Empire, a happy ending seems almost impossible. There's a chance the ending could tie into live-action shows like The Mandalorian by introducing characters like Moff Gideon into animation or giving a glimpse at the Nightsisters of Dathomir and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Perhaps that Nightsister magic is how Asajj Ventress returned from her supposed death. Mount Tantis, which is located on Weyland and is where Omega and Crosshair are being held captive by the Empire, might be key to the plot of Season 3 and perhaps some other stories as well. In short, The Bad Batch can have a tragic, hopeful, and bittersweet ending all at once.

Whatever happens, Season 3 has everything going for it after the success of Season 2. It's bound to have many memorable moments that the Star Wars animated series has an excellent track record of delivering.

The Bad Batch Season 3 premieres February 21 on Disney+.
