It's here! The final entry of the 3-episode premiere for Star Wars: The Bad Batch "Shadows of Tantis" wraps up the beginning of the end for Clone Force 99.
It's bittersweet starting the third and final season of this series. The Clone Wars was the last of George Lucas' legacy as he personally funded the project out of pocket to help create it. In fact, he did something unheard of for animation: He completely finished Season 1 of The Clone Wars before even pitching it to Cartoon Network. Animation was always so important to George, and The Bad Batch wraps up his final story before Star Wars was sold to Disney and his protégé, Dave Filoni, took over many of the reigns from his mentor.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch will end the final stories of The Clone Wars while setting up future stories like tying in Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian, and the events of the sequel trilogy when it comes to Emperor Palpatine's cloning projects. Lucasfilm Animation has never been better than The Bad Batch, and this season is going to be quite the spectacle. Check out the Season 3 trailer below for more.
