It was announced back in June that the current run of Darth Vader was coming to an end in September. And boy, does this week's comic feel like it's ramping up for a finale! We're also going to take a look at the trade paperbacks out next week.

It's time for This Week in Star Wars Comics!

Darth Vader #48

Darth Vader and Sly Moore's group, the Schism Imperial has made strides in their journey to take down Emperor Palpatine. Having acquired a giant kyber crystal from the Sith planet of Exegol, Vader sees a vision of a possible future. In it, there is another Sith by his side: Luke Skywalker. Meanwhile, Luke is approached by the once-handmaiden of Padme Amidala, Sabe, who is also the off-and-on ally of Vader. What kind of test does Sabe want Luke to do? And what must Luke do to save the life of his friend Warba? Darth Vader #48 is written by Greg Pak, illustrated by Raffaele Ienco, and the cover artist is Leinil Francis Yu.

Star Wars Legends: Tales of the Jedi Omnibus

Looking into Tuesday of next week, the first of two trades and omnibuses is the hardcover Star Wars Legends: Tales of the Jedi. This omnibus collects the entirety of the Star Wars Legends series Dawn of the Jedi and Tales of the Jedi. With over 40 comics, it's not one for Extended Universe fans to miss!

Star Wars Modern Era Epic Collection: Skywalker Strikes

Up until now, the Epic Collection books from Marvel Comics has only been for Legends comics. This changes on Tuesday when Star Wars Modern Era Epic Collection: Skywalker Strikes debuts! This will be the first in a line of current canon collections to be released. The first 14 issues of Jason Aaron's 2015 Star Wars run, along with some extra titles, also round out this book.

That's it for Star Wars Comics this week! See you next time!
