It's Wednesday! Time for another edition of This Week in Star Wars Comics! This one is a big one, with one of the mainline series coming to an end, trades paperbacks to get into, and two evil baddies hunt for some Jedi.

Let's dive in!

Star Wars #50

The end of an era is here are the 2020 run of Star Wars comes to a close this week with a supersized issue 50. Broken into 4 separate stories, this has been called a mini trade paperback with all the content packed into it. Structured as Luke Skywalker telling his nephew Ben Solo about his time in the Rebellion, this will cover several different eras of Star Wars. Issue #50 is written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Madibek Musabekov, and the cover artist is Leinil Francis Yu.

Inquisitors #3

If you love evil lady team ups, this is the issue for you! With the Jedi hero Tensu Run spreading hope across the galaxy, it's up to the Seventh Sister and the Ninth Sister to hunt him down. However, this is a tricky Jedi who has already bested other Inquisitors. It's either stop him or face Lord Vader's wrath. Inquisitors #3 is written by Rodney Barnes, illustrated by Ramon Rosanas, and the cover artist is Nick Bradshaw.

Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 9 – Rise of the Schism Imperial

The first of two trade paperbacks available now is Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 9 – Rise of the Schism Imperial. Treason is rising in the Empire, led by the sneaky Sly Moore. Secretly teaming up with Darth Vader, they form a team to take down Emperor Palpatine and learn the darkest secrets of the Sith. The writer is Greg Pak and Leinil Francis Yu is the cover artist.

Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Rebellion Vol. 6

For the Star Wars Legends fans, also released this week is Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Rebellion Vol. 6. In the days leading up to Return of the Jedi, the Rebellion is struggling to find allies. They have to make agreements that will either help or hurt their cause. With over 20 issues from the Dark Horse Comics runs, this is not a book to be missed for those who love the Extended Universe.

And that's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics. I do want to note the passing of John Cassaday. He was the artist on the first 2015 run of Star Wars with writer Jason Aaron. He was one of the best artists in the business, and his contribution to this franchise will be sorely missed.
