It's another Wednesday, meaning it's another week to get to your local comic book store, whip out your digital app, and dive back into the splash pages of a galaxy far away. This week in Star Wars comics there are plenty of high stakes from a massive trial for an original trilogy character to finding an old friend in The High Republic. Let's get into it.

Star Wars #44

The main line Star Wars comic is back with issue #44, and boy is it a doozy. Lando was able to save the life of Lobot, but only by giving up Rebel secrets to the Hutts. Now, he must face the consequences of his actions. The trial of Lando Calrissian is here. The series is written by Charles Soule with Madibek Musabekov as the illustrator and cover artist Stephen Segovia.

The High Republic #4

This issue of Cavan Scott's the High Republic #4 is one to avoid spoilers for, because it looks like a missing hero might have survived Starlight Beacon's fall. Jedi Master Keeve Trennis is hoping against all hope to find this person, even if it means defying the Jedi Council on Coruscant. With allies Elzar Mann and the twins Ceret and Terec, Keeve travels beyond the Nihil Stormwall for a chance to be reunited with her formal master, Sskeer. This issue is illustrated by Jim Towe and Marika Cresta with the cover artist being Phil Noto. Will Keeve find Sskeer? And if she does, what state will he be in a year later? You'll have to read it and see!

That's it for Star Wars comics this week. Check back every Wednesday to see what's new in the splash pages, trade paperbacks, and more. See you next Wednesday!
