We've reached the mid-September. The weather is starting to change. Pumpkin spice flavors are rolling out. The leaves are turning colors. The Sith Lords are duking it out on Exegol. You know, just September things.

A second mainline series comes to an end this month, so let's dive into another edition of This Week in Star Wars Comics!

Darth Vader #50

The final issue of the 2020 run of Darth Vader caps off with issue #50. All the players are here as Vader has accumulated a grand amount of power to take on Emperor Palpatine. The fates of the series' players from Ochi of Bestoon, Sabe, Sly Moore, and more will be revealed. There is also a story about Sith Leia, as reported via Marvel.com, that's illustrated by Luke Ross. This is not one to miss! Greg Pak wrote Darth Vader #50, and along with Ross, it's illustrated by Raffaele Ienco, Paul Fry, and Adam Gorham. The cover artist is Leinil Francis Yu.

The High Republic Adventures #10

The fate of a planet is on the line for the heroes of The High Republic. As the enemy swarms the streets of Eriadu City, Lula Talisola, Zeen Mrala, and their allies, including Sevran Tarkin, must ban together to save a planet. However, in the midst of battle, an old face appears of a once enemy. Is this person friend or foe now? The High Republic Adventures #10 is written Daniel José Older, the illustrator is Toni Bruno, and the cover artist is Harvey Tolibao.

Star Wars: Thrawn: Alliances

There is one trade paperback out this week and it's the adaptation of Star Wars: Thrawn: Alliances. Following the events of the same novel by Timothy Zahn, Grand Admiral Thrawn and Darth Vader team up to investigate an issue in the Outer Rim. This event prompts flashbacks where Thrawn worked with a Jedi Knight named Anakin Skywalker in the past. The adaptation is written by Jody Houser.

That's it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you next time in the splash pages!
