The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were just recently held, but Variety is already predicting nominations for this year's Emmy Awards. Among their predictions is one possible Star Wars nod.

Variety included Hayden Christensen's name in the list of actors they believe deserve to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work in Ahsoka. The article doesn't include the names of other Ahsoka actors, and Hayden is the only Star Wars actor to be included in the article. Hayden returned to Star Wars in 2022 as Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, opposite Ewan McGregor. Fans were thrilled to have him back, but no one knew the best was yet to come.

Christensen again reprised his role as Anakin Skywalker in last year's Ahsoka. It was the first time we saw live-action Master Skywalker and Padawan Ahsoka Tano together. Hayden received widespread praise for his performance in Chapter 5, "Shadow Warrior," but his appearances in the series didn't end there. He was shown again as a hologram in Chapter 7, and the season ended with a shot of him as force ghost Anakin Skywalker. Hayden's performance in the series is quite possibly his best performance in Star Wars. Fans couldn't get enough of him on the show. He showcased every shade of Anakin, the negative and the positive sides of him, but the best version of Anakin that Hayden portrays is Master Skywalker.

Ahsoka is worth a watch for fans of the prequel trilogy for Chapter 5 alone, as Hayden is allowed to show a side of Anakin the trilogy never delves into. We get to see a mature, wise, and balanced Anakin who's the perfect teacher for a strong-willed Padawan like Ahsoka. Not only does he showcase his incredibly sharp lightsaber skills, but Hayden deserves to be praised for developing chemistry with both the young Ahsoka (Ariana Greenblatt) and older Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson). It's an impressive multi-faceted performance, and it's wonderful to see Hayden's name being considered for a possible Emmy nomination.

For now, this is just speculation on Variety's part, but there's no doubt that Hayden's performance in Ahsoka has left a strong impression on critics and viewers. The actor has recently signed up for representation, and we hope he does much more work in the coming years because he has so much left to offer. In the meantime, we'll keep our fingers crossed that he'll be recognized for his performance in Ahsoka.
