Star Wars Around the Holidays: A look at the best decorations

We are coming up on Thanksgiving here in the U.S. For many of us, the love and desire to put up decorations for Christmas begins now. The Star Wars franchise is no stranger to decorations for the holiday season.

Let's discuss some of the best Star Wars Christmas decorations.

The Star Wars franchise has many fun ways to decorate your home. One popular choice is the Darth Vader sitting at a piano by the fire portrait with stockings in the background. It has been used for paintings and puzzles alike.

Every Star Wars character you can think of also has a Christmas ornament that you can display. From BB-8 to Rey and "Baby Yoda," each character, regardless of what you enjoy, can be found hanging on a Christmas tree. Hallmark has an Ahsoka ornament, which displays the popular character wielding her double white lightsabers.

My daughter loves LEGOs, so the many holiday-themed sets that either children or adults can display are wonderful to put up around our home. One such display is the Millennium Falco Holiday Diorama. Warning to parents: it has over 250 pieces, so there is plenty of fun to be had! Chewbacca, Finn, and Rey are preparing to host a Life Day meal. The set includes a turkey, a lightsaber for carving, and many holiday decorations for the display. It is based on the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, which premiered on Disney+ in 2020.

In addition to Star Wars decorations, many Advent Calendar options exist for families who love the franchise. In addition to the LEGO Sets for Advent, there are specific ones for the Disney+ series like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The Mandalorian calendar features 24 coins with characters and insignia from both series.

We can't forget about holiday T-shirts and sweaters, which would be perfect for holiday parties or when opening presents with the family. I like anything involving the AT-AT Walkers from The Empire Strikes Back and the many jokes you can make about snow.

One particular shirt I may ask my wife to buy has Darth Vader pushing Santa's sleigh with the AT-AT Walkers as the reindeer. The lead AT-AT Walker has a Rudolph nose. It might be the perfect holiday shirt for the season.

As people get ready for the holiday season, there are many options for Star Wars fans to decorate their homes and celebrate the franchise. You can bet you'll see a Baby Yoda and Ahsoka decoration in my home in a few weeks.
