Calling all Mandalorian fans! If you want to feel like a duchess in your everyday life, then Her Universe has got you covered! Unveiled at New York Comic Con 2024, Her Universe showed off its brand new design based on Duchess Satine Kryze from The Clone Wars. It will be available on their website on October 22.
Via the blog Anakin + His Angel, which gave an exclusive first look at the garment, this day dress is made of royal-hued fabric with gorgeous purple and a deep green together to give the wearer a regal feeling. The belt is gorgeous, recreating Satine's belt from The Clone Wars. The red is carefully stitched with black patterns for that classic Art Deco look the Mandalorians were known for in the series. Seven white pillars surround it at the top to complete the look.
And the best part? IT HAS POCKETS! Anyone who has ever wore dresses knows that pockets are a huge deal.
This dress is based on the elaborate gown that Duchess Satine, voiced by Anna Graves, wore in her first appearance in The Clone Wars Season 2 episode, "The Mandalore Plot." She became an instant fan favorite character, especially thanks to the history she shared with another important person in the franchise: Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Duchess and the Jedi Master once had feelings for each other, feelings that reared itself every time the two would reunite throughout the series. "The Mandalore Plot" was the first time another familiar name would join the franchise. Jon Favreau made his Star Wars debut in this episode, too, voicing the character of Pre Vizsla. Favreau would go on to be the showrunner for The Mandalorian.
If you're at New York Comic Con, snag the Duchess Satine Kryze dress while you can! If you can't make it, no worries —the dress will be available on the Her Universe website on October 22.
