Star Wars Hunters coming to Steam Early Access in 2025

Star Wars Hunters is finally coming to PC. Players will soon be able to access a desktop build of the game instead of relying on a smartphone or Nintendo Switch to play the game.

Thanks to Steam's early access program, players will be able to download the game for free (it is also free to play on iOS, Android, and Switch). So if you're much better at games using a controller, mouse, or keyboard, you're in luck.

The game originally launched in June 2024, but will become available to a wider set of players in 2025 thanks to the new desktop version. According to Zynga, the PC build will come with higher rendering quality, higher resolution textures, and more. Key binding will also be available for gameplay.

Star Wars Hunters is a free-to-play arena-style fighting game where players engage in matches, collect rewards, level up their characters, and can even team up with their friends. The unique and growing list of playable characters allows you to wield a lightsaber, fire a blaster, and travel to a handful of planets, familiar and new. Whether you are healing your allies, taking down your opponents, or dealing enemy damage from afar, there's a style of play for every kind of gamer (and Star Wars lover).

With the game's fourth season out today and plenty more to come, there's no better time to download and try it for yourself. Hunters does include in-app purchases, but you can still genuinely enjoy the game without spending anything on it.

Players will soon be able to sign up for a closed beta to get an early look and help test the game, but more information will be released later.
