Just because you may have finished your first full playthrough of Star Wars Outlaws doesn't mean you have to put the video game down forever. The upcoming release of its first DLC will add new experiences to the game that you will not want to miss.
Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card brings a lot of new content to the game, but the most notable is probably a new playable storyline. The new Kay Vess mission will introduce Lando Calrissian to the game, and even though it's not a full-length experience, it has the potential to connect players to a familiar Star Wars character at an exciting time in the galaxy.
That's not all the game is releasing with the new DLC, however. In addition to some major game updates that might fix some of the issues players have been having since launch, new cosmetics and a Steam launch will also coincide with the Wild Card DLC.
According to Ubisoft's roadmap for the game, this isn't the only DLC (the official site calls them Story Packs) planned for Star Wars Outlaws. There appears to be another in the works for a future release titled A Pirate's Fortune.
Unfortunately, games have to make money, and one way to do that is to offer Season Passes for players to access exclusive content. Season Pass holders will also have access to several additional bundles. The Steam version of the base game, however, will be released to everyone- there is no need for a Season Pass.
It will be interesting to watch the game's future and see where things go from here. Past Star Wars games have had success with DLC content for larger games, and adding more storylines in the future could create something truly special for many to enjoy for years to come.
The Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card DLC is set to release to Season Pass holders on November 21, 2024.
