The first episode of Tales of the Underworld, "A Way Forward," answered some of the biggest mysteries around Asajj Ventress and introduced her to a new teenage Force user. This teen is trying to find Quinlan Vos, Ventress' once lover, and The Path. Now traveling together, their adventure continues.
Let's recap everything you missed in Tales of the Underworld episode 2, "Friends."
Tales of the Underworld episode 2, "Friends," opens with Ventress and the teenager, who is revealed in this episode to be named Lyco Strata, arriving on a scummy planet. Lyco isn't all gun-ho anymore about knowing her since, you know, she killed people he knew in the Clone Wars. Lyco does not trust her one bit. But he also doesn't have much of a choice for help.
She reveals she's looking specifically for Quinlan Vos. They have to figure out how to locate The Path first. So, Ventress wants to meet with an old bounty hunter acquaintance of hers: Latts Razzi, who worked with Ventress in The Clone Wars.
While they're walking through the streets, they dodge a fight between a Besalisk and a droid assassin. Latts joins the fight and together with the droid (which a little bit of Force help from Ventress), they kill the Besalisk.

Latts is bummed that the guy is dead. Lyco says the Jedi phrase, "Yes, the loss of life is always tragic."
"No," Latts judges him. "He's worth more alive." Ventress rolls her eyes at the kid.
Latts wants to know why they want to find The Path. Ventress lies, saying they want to kill some Jedi and make real money. Lyco is taken aback by that but doesn't argue about the ruse. Latts says she could use some help on a job. Ventress agrees to help in exchange for information about The Path.
Latts fills in Ventress that she wants to steal an Imperial Shield Relay Unit from a shipyard on Cassaro. A rebel group will pay her a lot for it. Lyco reveals that he knows a bit about starships, advising that they would need to fly in low to get below the Empire's sensors. Latts invites Lyco to help her scramble the signature on her ship in the cockpit.
She hisses, "Only a Jedi or a clone would know about Venator range detectors, and you ain't a clone." Latts warns Lyco that if he wants to find The Path to hide, he can't trust Ventress. She says that if Lyco helps her, Latts will get him to safety.
Later, the group arrives on Cassaro to start their mission. As they move into position to steal the Shield Relay (which is inside a massive ball called an ISD-72x shield generator dome that is as big as a multistory building), Lyco tells Ventress that Latts knows he's a Jedi. She's not surprised, since he's incredibly obvious at being a Jedi. If Latts tries anything, Ventress tells Lyco to kill her and her assassin droid.
Speaking of the droid, he scuttles under one crawler transport unit, cutting a line to make it stall out in front of their target. After Ventress cuts into the ball where the shield relay is inside, she keeps watch while Lyco heads in to find it. The Imperials find the assassin droid and Ventress, sending reinforcements at the sight of her lightsaber.
Lyco gets the relay, which is small enough to carry in his hand. But they're surrounded, so Ventress cuts the wires holding the big dome. She slips in, and Latt's droid hops on as it rolls away, and they call Latts for a pickup.
However, the battle makes the dome unstable, and it starts to spark, clearly moving quickly towards self destruction. Lyco drops the shield relay as the Empire attack the dome with bombs. Ventress catches him, refusing to let him go after it. She calls Latts again for a pickup, saying they dropped the relay.
So, Latts gives her droid a new plan: Get the Jedi for a big payout. They kick Ventress off their ship and kidnap Lyco.
Ventress doesn't take betrayal lightly. She hops onto Latt's ship, cutting the droid in half with Lyco holding its working torso at lightsaber point. Ventress commands Latts to get them out of there, hopping them into hyperspace. In exchange for Latts' life, they receive the intel they need.
Now that Lyco trusts Ventress, he hands her the intel on how to find The Path and Quinlan Vos.
This is where Tales of the Underworld episode 2, "Friends," comes to an end.
