Heritage Auctions is bringing together some of the most iconic pieces of cinematic history at its Hollywood/Entertainment Signature Auction from July 16–18, 2025, in Beverly Hills.
The highlights of the event are Luke Skywalker’s Red Five X‑Wing miniature used in The Empire Strikes Back and Indiana Jones’ whip from The Last Crusade, both fetching pre-bids north of $200,000.
Measuring approximately 12″×11″×2″, this hero model features Luke’s signature red stripes and R2-D2 in the astromech slot—used in key Empire scenes on Hoth, Dagobah, and Cloud City. With prior sales reaching $328,125 in 2023, bidding has already jumped past $200,000 with buyer’s premium, marking another high-stakes moment for Star Wars collectors cllct.
One of the most significant Indiana Jones artifacts ever to hit auction: the Harrison Ford screen-matched whip from The Last Crusade, used in the climactic Grail Temple scenes and previously presented to Prince Charles in 1989. Authenticated by Lucasfilm, it has already climbed above $200,000 with buyer’s premium.
Also on the block are:
- The legendary Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane—one of only three remaining—currently attracting massive attention with a current bid of over $250,000.
- An X-wing pilot display costume – currently priced at only $2,000 – from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (TCF, 1977), handcrafted by Andrew Ainsworth.
- I Dream of Jeannie’s genie bottle, pre-bidding near $250,000.
- Wyatt Earp’s Colt revolver from Tombstone, at $67,500, is listed alongside other Hollywood lore essentials from For Your Eyes Only and Austin Powers.
Heritage’s Joe Maddalena framed it best when he said, “From DeMille’s camera and Rosebud itself to Luke Skywalker’s X-wing and Indiana Jones’ whip, these aren’t just props. They’re mythic objects. They tell the story of Hollywood’s greatest moments, one piece at a time, each tied to a memory, a performance, a legend.”
He continued, saying, “We’re honored to bring them to the fans, collectors, and institutions who will preserve them for the generations to come.”
